He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Sellers and Thelma Thacker Sellers; his wife Sharon Elkins Sellers; and his sisters, Charlotte Cornett, Barbara Napier and Cleta Boggs.
He is survived by: his children, Chadwick Brian Sellers (Tiffany Daniels), Samuel Sellers (Feifan), Rodney J. Sellers Jr. (Kristy) and Jessica Lynn Milwee (Kris); his siblings, Clavis Sellers (Paulette), Harold Sellers and Shelby Haynes; and his grandchildren, Joseph Doyle, Samuel Sellers Jr. and Adrian Sellers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Park Howard Camp Creek Road.
His proudest accomplishments included not only his contributions to the local sports scene but also his deep connections with family and friends.
