He was predeceased by: his parents, Estle Phillips and Mary Lucy Tackett Phillips; his parents-in-law, Thelma Cochran and Oreain Cochran; and his brother-in-law Stewart Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Cochran Phillips; his children, Jonathan Phillips (Ashley) and Melissa Phillips Nolan (Gary); his siblings, Wayne of Kildav, Kenny Phillips of Kildav and Shirley Hoskins (Johnny); his siblings-in-law, Wayne Cochran, Marie Perkins (Terry) of Coxton and Jane Perkins of Coxton; his grandchildren, Kialia Phillips, Megan Phillips, Hayley Phillips and Ryan Phillips; and his grandparent Lakyn Hoskins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
