She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lee and Park Howard; her siblings, Joel Howard and Wanda Sue Howard Spradlin; and her grandmother Bert Tolliver.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph D. Shope; her sons, Ralph Shope (Michele) and Brandon Shope (Cathy); her grandchildren, Madison Granados (Fernando), Luke Shope, Hayley Shope, Caleb Grider and Katelyn Grider; and her sister Helen Howard Ellison.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Will Follow the Funeral Services.
