He was predeceased by: his parents, Katy Shepherd and Henry Shepherd; his siblings, Hobert Shepherd, Carlos Shepherd, Sye Shepherd, Ella Jane Wilder and Barbara Lewis; his son Steven Shepherd; and his son-in-law Gary Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Freeman Shepherd; his children, Patty Lane (Don), Karen Thomas Henry Shepherd and Derek Trosper (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Misty Brooks (Timothy), Bryan Lane (Alonda), Devin Shepherd, Dakota Shepherd, James Shepherd, Katy Shepherd, Derek Trosper, Alexia Trosper, Zachary Trosper and Coral Trosper; and his great grandchildren, Faith Brooks, Isaac Brooks, Anna Brooks, Emma Brooks, Elliot Lane, Charlie Lane, Zander Shepherd and Tristian Helton.
