She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Short and Sarepta "Reppie" Cloud Short; her daughter Karen Ann Parsons; and her siblings, Loretta Vuscko, Bess Davenport, Reba Newman, Howard Short, Raymond Short and James Hampton Short.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Parsons; her son Steve Parsons of Urbana-Champaign, IL; her niece Shirley Browning; her nephew Jerry Short; and her close friend Treva Short. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
