It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Peterson of Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Carden Peterson and Augustus Peterson; and his siblings, Doris "Moochie" Alvin, Linda Gail Shackleford, Clayton, Robert "Dunk", Charles and Gary Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Hyde Peterson; his children, Shelly Peterson (Pounding Mill), Jamie Wynn (Rosspoint), Rocky Peterson, Brandon Peterson (Verda) and Gage Turner (Toni); his siblings, Mary Saragas (Takis) and Bill Peterson of Dayton, OH.; his grandchildren, Landon Peters, Kaitlynn Russell, Gabe Mabelitini, Abigail, Sophia, Isaac Wynn, Hannah, Olivia, James Rocky and Joshua Peterson; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Turner, Braelynn Peters and Peyton Russell. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Per mandates set by the Governor of Kentucky, everyone attending must wear some type of face covering and maintain social distancing.
