Howard Parsons Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2021, at the age of 86, Howard Parsons Sr. of Harlan, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his significant other Marie Brock Parsons; his sons, Howard Parsons Jr. and Jeff Parsons; his parents, Vernon Parsons and Hattie Kennedy Parsons; and his siblings, Henry, Bobby, Kenneth Parsons, Nell Justice and June Skinner.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Owens (James "Eddie" Owens) of Jasper, Alabama; his sister Sina Balltrip of Lexington, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Howard Parsons III (Majik), James Owens (Meghan), Amanda Humber (Jacob), Rebeccah Owens, Jarrod Owens and Shannon Owens; and his friend Mike Williams. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren whom he adored, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
A family and friend Remembrance Day in his honor will be celebrated when COVID has slowed down and it's safe for family to attend per Mr. Parsons wishes.
