He was predeceased by : his parents, Morgan Smith and Barbara Frank Smith; and his daughter Renie Joseph. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Hammons Smith; his children, Herman Smith (Marcella) of Winchester and Tammy Johnson (Tim) of Big Laurel; his , Jack Ison (Ivalou), Elcomb and Michael Ison of Stanfill; and his sons-in-law, Hiram Joseph, Kannie Gross (Paul) of Bledsoe, Adam Smith (Miriam) of Louisville and Scott Smith (Stephanie) of Be Brook, Texas. He is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
