Fern Jones Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2024, at the age of 93, Fern Jones of Harlan, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Skidmore and Mary Eager Skidmore of Grays Knob; her husband Herman Jones; and her siblings, Jack Skidmore, Robert Skidmore, Pauline Skidmore and Sue Tolliver.
She is survived by: her daughter Candy Johnson (Ishmeal) of Danville; her grandson Cristopher Ryan Johnson; her great grandchildren, Ryan Sterling Johnson of Lancaster, Kentucky. and Cristopher Wolfe Johnson of Lancaster, Kentucky.; and her sister-in-law Joyce Skidmore of Seymour, Tennessee.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins.
Fern's family has asked that memorial gifts be made to the Harlan County Friends of the Shelter or the Alzheimer's Association.
