It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Murphy (Harlan, Kentucky), born in Pathfork, Kentucky, who passed away on November 4, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Boggs and Cindy Turner Boggs; her husband David L Murphy Sr.; her sons, David Murphy Jr. and Bobby McCown; her sisters, Joyce Hisel and Yvonne Haynes; and her great grandchild Shane Donovan Day.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy McCown (Mary) of Dayhoit, Brooks McCowan (Sheila) of Mississippi, Jerry Murphy of Colorado, Cindy Hornsby and Anjeantta Murphy (Ellis) of Florida; and her siblings, Matthew Boggs and Etta Belle Boggs (Lucille Derck). She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, a host of other relatives.
