He was predeceased by: his wife Emilie V. Johnson; his parents, Thomas Johnson and Carrie Boggs Johnson; his siblings, Odell Johnson, Giles Johnson, Leslie Johnson, Joe Johnson, Billy Johnson, Ola Mae Shoope and Opha Dumas; and his brother-in-law Garry Henson Sr..
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jerry D. Johnson (Donnece) of Garry Henson, JR, Bill Johnson (Jonell), Belinda Cassim (Brian), Priscilla Stines, Leslie Ella Clark (Bill), Loretta Shumate and Katie Meckes (Max); his sister-in-law Brenda Henson; and his close friends, Will Cassim, Jim Roddy, Mike and Terri Kelly.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Grays Knob Bible Church. Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel (3000 State Hwy 840, Baxter, KY 40806).
