He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Devore; his son Timothy Devore; his parents, Amon Hildred and Mary Agnes Devore; and his brothers, Clarence and Howard Devore.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Devore (Felicia), Chris Devore and Valecia Floyd (Mike); his stepson Neil Bennett; and his sister Betty Jo Reece. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
