It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Franklin Cheek of Hardyville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rice and Kathryn Marie Lambirth Howard; her former husband John R. Franklin; and her brother Cleo Luther Rice. She is survived by: her husband Albert Cheek; her children, Tony Franklin (Vickie), John C. Franklin (Cherie), Demetrius Franklin (Angel), Albert Cheek, Jr. (Tanisha), Allen Cheek, Adam Cheek (Loa), Tabatha Cheek and Yohance Cheek (Gena); her siblings, Jacqueline Rice-Beamus, George Rice (Eddie) of Louisville, KY and Howard Rice (Rochelle); her aunts, Ruth Stoner-Underwood of Vine Grove, KY and Connie Lambirth-Franklin (Haywood); and her uncle Leon Lambirth of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
