She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Clement Sills and Elizabeth Mattingly Sills; her husband Beavin Thornsberry, Jr.; her brothers, J. C. Sills and Randolph Sills; and her nieces, Brenda Kelly and Linda Zralek.

She is survived by: her niece Peggy Perrell (Bill); and her nephews, Jim Sills (Sheila) and Joseph Sills (Sissy).
