He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Horton and Vonnie Goldsmith Horton; his wife Judith E. Horton; his daughter Rhonda Purscell; his grandson Levi Purscell; and his siblings, Johnny, Norman, Robert, Ralph Horton, Virginia Felker, Anita Blevins and Ethel Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Wayne Horton (Denelya) and Crystal Borders; his brother Jesse Horton; his grandchildren, Noah, Grace, Charity (Kaeveon), Isaac, Hayden and Colton; and his great grandchild Skylar.
