He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Dean, Sr. and Hattie Poole Dean; his wife Mary Phyllis; and his siblings, Maggie Poole, Nora Peyton, Robert Poole, Will Dean, Ernest Dean, Jr., Herman Dean, Sherman Dean, Jamie Dean and Paul Dean.
He is survived by: his children, Garland Dean, Karen Dean, Tracy Criss and Judy Welch of Hardinsburg, KY.; his grandchildren, Kelly Gannaway, Dustin Dean, Teressa Pyles, Devin Dean and Rachel Dean; his great grandchildren, Quenten Rhinehart, Madison Dean and Kyleigh Dean; and his siblings, Morris Poole of Louisville, KY. and Beatrice Woods of Harned, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
