He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Stiff; and his siblings, Anna Guynd Lyons and Cecil Elroy Stiff. He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth Byron Stiff (Sue) and Betty Sue Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, B. W. Lyons and Marilyn Jo Stiff. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and three great nieces and great nephews.

The family requests that contributions in David's memory be made to Hardinsburg United Methodist Church.
