He is survived by: his sons, Jeremy Dowdy (Bette) of Benton, KY, Shawn Dowdy (Melissa) of Mayfield, KY, Josh Dowdy (Kara) of Mayfield, KY and Wesley Shane Dowdy (Candace) of Gulf Shores, AL; and his siblings, Johnny Dowdy (Judy) of Nashville, TN and Kim Dowdy of Murray, KY. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
