It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Gentry (Hanson, Kentucky), born in Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 19, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Gentry and James "Jake" Gentry; and his siblings, Jimmy Gentry and Wanda Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lusk Gentry; his children, Kevin Gentry (Kim) of Hanson and Kathy Downey (David) of Hanson; his brother Troy Gentry of Barnsley, KY; and his grandchildren, Justin Gentry (Conner) of Evansville, IN, Courtney Gentry of Elizabethtown, KY, Ashley Branson (David) of Columbia, TN and Olivia Downey of Spring Hill, TN. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to the Hopkins County Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the donor's charity of choice.
