He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith Kempster; his children, Jeffery Smith Kempster (Genia Marshbanks) and Mary Kempster Rose (Edward Bishop Rose); his grandson William Bishop Rose; and his siblings, Donald Barclay Kempster (Gail) and Marilyn Santucci. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
