He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Bayes and Lula May Bayes; and his siblings, James Bayes, Dennis Bayes, Gladys Hughes and Lorene McCool.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Daniel Bayes; his children, Kevin R. Bayes (Brandi) of Johnson County, KY, Amy Clay Bayes of Florence, KY and Leslie Dotson (Anthony) of Hager Hill, KY; his siblings, Louise Jung of Wapakoneta, OH and Jack Bayes of Mansfield, OH; and his grandchildren, Shelby Clay, Sarah Clay, Olivia Dotson, Logan Dotson, Lucas Bayes and Reese Day.
