He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanscel Short and Gladys Slone Short. He is survived by: his wife Anita Darlene Watts Short of Hager Hill, Kentucky; his children, Christine Short of London, Cassandra Mollette of Van Lear, Nenna Abrams of Richmond, Kentucky and Ryan Cantrell; his sister Berniece Dunn of Lexington, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Amber, Nathaniel, Parker, Harrison, Lexi, Brentley, Addison, Caden and Everly. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
