He is survived by: his wife Catherine Starkey Smith; his children, Michael Estill Smith (Tammy) of Hager Hill and Rose Elaine Smith Blevins (Jason) of Hager Hill, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Rebecca Michelle Brown, Jeffery Clayton Smith and Katelynn Nicole Blevins; his great grandchildren, Peyton Kristopher Rowe, Mary Ashlee Rowe, Miles Edward Brown and Aaron Michael Brown; his brother James Arthur Rederick (Sandy) of Martin, Kentucky; and his sister-in-law Connie Smith.
