He was predeceased by: his parents, Clell "Otis" Madden and Josephine Dowell Madden; his grandparents, Hattie and Burn Dowell; his parents-in-law, Mary Frances and Gilbert Benham; and his pet Odie.

He is survived by: his wife Mona Carby; his children, Terra Pike (Brian), Terry M. Carby, Jr. (Courtney Sinnett) and Adrian Wright; his grandchildren, Jenna, Kaylee Pike, Daxton, Willow and Piper Carby; his siblings, Ronnie Madden (Lillie) and Debbie Auberry; and his pet Macy. He is also survived by numerous other extended family, church family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Brandenburg Baptist Church (115 Baptist Church Ln, Brandenburg, KY 40108). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
