She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Benjamin and Minnie Hendricks Embrey; her son Phillip Warren Powers; and her siblings, Beatrice Hockman, Mary Harrison, Doug Embrey, Carl Embrey, Jr., Kenneth "Buck" Embrey, Virginia Foor and Bernadine Embrey.
She is survived by: her husband Luther Powers; her children, Peggy Sturgeon (David), Tim Powers (Diane), Lisa White (Drew), Sheila Bennett, LuAnn Brown (Richard) and Rebekah Bevill (Johnny); her grandchildren, Aaron, Sara, Jordan, Stephanie, Chris, T. J., Benjamin, Ryan, Jacob, Brandon and Hayley; her siblings, Freddie Embrey, Verna Biddle and Judy Hubbard; her niece Susie Roberts; her great-nephew Ralph; and her nieces, Kisha Bradford, Elizabeth England, Shannon Hockenberry, Grace Beatty and Ekron Baptist Church. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be privately held for Mrs. Powers' immediate family only, due to the COVID-19 health pandemic.
