He was predeceased by: his parents, Eithel Peabody Heavrin and Ernest Euble Heavrin; his wife Patricia Jean Bewley Heavrin; and his daughter Rachel Heavrin. He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Heavrin, Jr. of Louisville, KY and Brian Heavrin (Bruce) of Bradenton, FL; his sister Janis Simmons (Gene) of Lexington; his granddaughter Whitney Fontaine (Matt); his great grandchildren, Sloane, Margot and Rhodes Fontaine; and his friend Bernice West.
