He was predeceased by: his father Coleman Loper; his siblings, Willie Lee Loper and Barbara Jean Loper; his niece Erma Ingram; his nephew Johnny Edward Loper; and his brothers-in-law, Ellis Ingram, Thomas Hale, Donald Wireman, Carter Lovely and Frank Watkins.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Whitney Loper of Prestonsburg; and his siblings, Wiley Loper of Gunlock, Alfred Dean Loper of Prestonsburg, Dorisie Loper Wireman of Gunlock, Lolie Loper Watkins of Salyersville, Sarah Loper Hale of Hyden, Katie Loper Adams (Ricky) of Gunlock and Dottie Loper Bragg (Daniel) of Milton.
