She was predeceased by: her parents, Carew Castle and Nora Ellen Shepherd Castle; her husband Farley Shepherd; her daughter-in-law Carol Shepherd; her grandson Larry Brandon; and her siblings, Mitchell Castle, Manis Castle, Von Castle, Joseph Castle, Carter Castle, Helen King and Pearlie Hale.
She is survived by: her children, Earl Shepherd (Retha) of Hueysville, Larry Shepherd (Darcus) of Gunlock, Jerry Shepherd of Gunlock and Sheila Joseph (Tim) of Gunlock; her siblings, Danny Castle of Indiana, Hazel Bradley of Indiana and Mazie Harris of Indiana; her grandchildren, Tonya Hatfield, Tina Wireman, Tammy Johnson, Misty Conley and Farley Joseph; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Tackett, Layton Terry, Dylan Minix, Reagan Crase, Trenton Hatfield, Danny Tackett, Jerrilynn Hatfield, Carley Hatfield, Riverlynd Marie Joseph and Heidi Klaire Joseph.
