He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tackett and Ella McKinney Tackett; his son-in-law Chester Slone Jr.; his siblings, James "Foster" Tackett, Lorene Jones, Eppson Tackett, Emmit Tackett, Jay Tackett, Bennie Tackett, Artie Tackett, Hazel Howell, Judy Hall and Lizzie Tackett; his grandmother Howell; and his son-in-law James Spencer.
He is survived by: his wife Inas Akers Tackett; and his children, Larry Tackett (Glena) of Grethel, KY, Leslie Tackett (Deborah) of Kimper, KY, Joseph "Joe" Tackett (Sherrie) of Grethel, KY, Dolores Evans (Charlie) of Grethel, KY, Pauline Spencer Barnette (Roger) of Pikeville, KY, Geraldine "Gerri" Lee (Allen) of Sparta, TN, Sherry Slone of Grethel, KY, Lorrie Bevins (Danny) of Pikeville, KY and Lois Hamilton (Donnie). He is also survived by grandchildren & great grandchildren.
