She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hamilton and Nancy Hall Hamilton; her son Jeffery Newman; her siblings, Donald Hamilton, Ineace Truitt and Agnes Hall; and her granddaughter Brittany Nicole.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Newman; her children, Jim Hiatt (Melissa) of Virgie, KY, Jason Newman (Rose), Natalie Sue Bargerstock (Luther) of Lancaster, KY, Jackie King (Larry) and Rhonda Newman; and her siblings, Everett Hamilton of Lakeland, FL, David Hamilton of Florida, Lennis Newsome, Linda Kay Spradlin of Louisa, KY and Barbara McWhorter.
