He was predeceased by: his parents, William Raymon Bethel and Esther Ashlock Bethel; his wife Lois Fearn Bethel; and his brothers, Charles Bethel and Bob Bethel.
He is survived by: his children, William Keith Bethel (Peggy) of Greenville and Guyla Heltsley (Jeff) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Chris Bethel (Donna), Robin Heltsley, Kelly Hibbert (Marty), Kerry Currington (Galen), Allison Cleeton (Patrick), Samuel Bethel and Sarah Heltsley; and his great grandchildren, Breanna Bethel and Bodhi Currington (Denise Boggess).
