He was predeceased by: his parents, Buren Walter Brooks and Hilda Marie Brooks; and his sister Linda Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean Boatwright Brooks of Greenville; his children, Stacy Sumner of Greenville and Jason Brooks (Tiffany) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Tara Fauver Sierra (Andrew), Alexis Sumner, Makaila Brooks and Cassidy White; his great grandchild Javion Tutt; and his brothers, Owen Dal Brooks (Bonnie) of Greenville, Marvin Brooks of Greenville and Milford Brooks (Thelma) of Greenville.

In accordance with the state mandates, facial coverings, and social distancing for people in attendance will be required.
