She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethal Wells and Vera McChesney Wells; her husband Owen Laster; her brothers, Norman, Alley and Lonnie Wells; and her daughter Brenda Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Kelly of Greenville, Patsy Hopper of Greenville and Donous Laster (Marsha) of Shelbyville, IN.; her grandchildren, Michael Hurt (Janice) of Warner Robbins, GA., Bruce Laster of Madisonville, Theresa Garrett of Bowling Green, Danny Garrett of Greenville, Brian Garrett (Veronica) of Greenville, Donnie Laster of Shelbyville, IN., John Laster (Karrie) of Shelbyville, IN., Michelle Mormance (Jed) of Indianapolis, IN. and Jeremy Laster of Shelbyville, IN.; and her sister Willodean Meriweather of Hopkinsville. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren.
