He was predeceased by: his parents, Buren Brooks and Hilda Brooks; his siblings, Waymon Brooks, Milford Brooks and Linda Garrett; his children, Danny Brooks and Danielle Brooks; and his grandson David Brooks Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Brooks (Kathleen), Darren Brooks (Sandy), Pam Dearmond (Dale), Kevin Brooks (Tomeca), Ronnie Brooks (Mary), David Brooks (Brandy) and Kim Byrd (Kerry); his brother Owen Dale Brooks (Bonnie); his former wife Pat Brooks; and his sisters-in-law, Thelma Brooks and Wilma Brooks. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tucker Funeral Home (113 N 3rd St, Central City, KY 42330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Cemetery Memorial Gardens (3570 US-62, Powderly, KY 42367).
