She was predeceased by: her daughter Angel McKinney; and her parents, J. T. Cottrell, Sr. and Carolyn Cottrell. She is survived by: her daughters, Brooklyn Lee (Justin) and Mesha Osborne; her siblings, Sonja Cottrell, Crystal Hurt (Brian), Kelly Bishop (Bryan), James Cottrell (Samantha) and J. T. Cottrell, Jr. (Kelly); and her grandchildren, Aniyah Boyd, Bradly Lee, Brantly Lee, Shyla Boyd and Carsyn Lee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
