He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curtis and Annie Grace Wood Hairston; his sisters, Linda Purswell and Sue Blankenship; and his granddaughter Ember Oglesby.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Parsons Hairston; his stepchildren, Tori Grace and Kayne Grace (Camille); his grandchildren, Dalton Oglesby, Deanna Oglesby (Jay Mullens), Keira Elitzer (Daniel), Tucker Oglesby (Chelsey), Hannah Grace and Samuel Grace; his great grandchildren, Derian, Karoline Elitzer, Laker Browning and Stevie Taylor; his siblings, Pat Goins (William), Charles Hairston (Doris) and Joe Hairston; and his brother-in-law Don Purswell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gary's Funeral Home (405 Hopkinsville St, Greenville, KY 42345). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
