He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Bethel and Evelyn Bethel; and his brothers, Jim Ben Bethel and Ralph Bethel. He is survived by: his wife Linda West Bethel; his children, Stephanie Thompson of Greenville and Wes Bethel (Duska) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Emma Thompson, Miles Bethel and Elliot Bethel; and his sister Linda Threlkeld of Owensboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
