He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Gatlin Courtney and Mildred Wilkins Courtney; and his brother Hubert Courtney (June Bug). He is survived by: his wife Lou Courtney of Greenville; his children, Charles "Chuck" Courtney II of Greenville and Lynn Henderson (Joe) of Mayfield; his grandchildren, Courtney Henderson and Kate Henderson; his nieces and nephews, Rick Courtney (Sherry), Troy Courtney (Tammy), Jason Courtney, Holly Barber and Lisa Mullins (Doug); his sister Betty Earle (Jerry) of Madisonville; and his sister-in-law Linda Courtney of Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund or the KY Forest Industries Log-A-Load For Kids.
