He is survived by: his wife Karen Garrett Simpson; his children, Robin Buchanan (John) of Elkton, KY, Amy Beth Atkins of Madisonville, KY and Ryan Edward Simpson; his siblings, Johnnie Simpson of Powderly, KY, Imogene Cowing Metheny of Central City, KY, Doris Ann Quisenberry of Lewisburg, KY, Mary Wood (Buddy) of Midland, TX, Betty Flanagan (Curtis) of Stanton, TX and Linda Sutton of Waynesville, NC; his grandchildren, Jonathan Buchanan (Jasmine) of Kirkmansville, KY, Andrea Turner (Austin) of Elkton, KY and Gracelynn Atkins; and his great grandchild Shaylynn Grace Turner.
