He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Bruce and Essie Mae Harlow James; his daughter Sarah Rachel James; and his siblings, Bruce James, Randy James and Kelly Kegley.
He is survived by: his wife Twylla Rachel McAdams James; his children, Jesse Joe James (Brandi) of Greenup, Billy Bruce James (Misty Young) of Nashville, TN, Jason James (Cheryl) of Argillite, KY and Dara Sharma (Parm) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Justin Minnehan (Paige), Ciara Lewis (Kaden), Jeffrey James (McKenzie), Tyler James, Jesse Joe James, Jr., Ari Sharma, Aevan Sharma and Ajai Sharma; his great grandchildren, Riley Lewis, Faith Minnehan, Lyndon Minnehan and Jackson James; and his siblings, Jacqueline James (Homer Brown) of Argillite, Joan Phipps of Maurepas, LA and Larry Joe James (Lisa) of Fruitland Park, FL.
