He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sizemore Sr. and Virginia Nelson Sizemore; and his brother-in-law Earl Turner. He is survived by: his sister Shirley L. Turner of Gueydan; his brother-in-law Jerry Abdon (Connie) of Greenup County; and his close friend Ann Stephens.

Richard selflessly donated his body to the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine for the advancement of science and education.
