He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Henry and Dora Belle Young Burton; his wife Polly Napier Burton; and his siblings, Homer Burton, Roy Burton, Milton McGuire, Troy Burton and Sybil Conley.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Dalton (Bobbie) of Oldtown, Kentucky; his siblings, Lawrence Burton (Viola) of Load, Ezra Burton (Darlene) of Load, Ernest David Burton (Loretta) of Argillite, Kentucky, Arlene Damron (Charles) of Catlettsburg, Judy Bohannah of Wheelersburg, Mary Collier of Load, Eldean Bailey of Load and Freda Miller (Steve) of Load, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Polly Anna Dalton and Brandon Eugene Dalton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Eureka Enterprise Baptist Church (239 Eureka Church Rd, South Shore, KY 41175).
