We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2023, at the age of 72, Gary Lee McCarty of Greenup, Kentucky, born in Wurtland, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred S McCarty and Georgia Boggs McCarty; and his son Jesse Ritter. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Nickels of Greenup, Kentucky; his children, Kari Waddell Waddell (Dwight) of Logan, Linda Nickels of Ashland and Jason McCarty McCarty (Lacy) of Murray City, Ohio; his brother Aaron McCarty McCarty (Kathleen) of Lancaster, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Tina Rockwell, Tonya Emory, Russell McCarty and Robert McCarty; his grandchildren, Kearstynn Waddell, Kyle Waddell, Charlee McCarty, Levi Patton, Riley Patton, Uriah Ward and Jesse Messer; and his great grandchild Mason Bungard.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations towards Gary's final expenses.
