It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Decima Scott Virgin (Greenup, Kentucky), who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scott and Alice Hamilton Scott; her husband William Rezin Virgin; and her daughter Judy Kay Virgin. She is survived by: her children, William Virgin (Jeanie) of Greenup, Kentucky and Linda Wellman of Oldtown, Kentucky; her brother Connor Scott (Vera) of Ashland, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Scott Wellman (Cheryl) and Deanna DeLancy (Mark); her great grandchildren, Craig, Gregory, Brett, Alex, Mathew and Andrew; and her great great grandchildren, James, Ridley and Teddy.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oldtown Christian Church (711 Main St, Greenup, KY 41144). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

“I am so sorry. I only learned of your mothers death last friday. She was so kind to Marvin and me giving Marvin Shannon's clothes. Marvin told her, Aunt Toots you never age. She fixed my father a meal when he was dying with Myeloma. Your dad took in my father's dog and renamed him Jake. They were my favorite Aunt and Uncle.”
