She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Wayne and Virginia Louise Gullett McConnell; her husband George Atkins; and her sister Rita Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Aaron Atkins of Greenup, George Atkins (Suzanne) of Leesburg, Florida and Teresa Cook (Thomas) of Load, Kentucky; her siblings, David Bradbury (Donna) of Greenup, Kentucky, Sue Sizemore of Wurtland and Diane Cook of Greenup, Kentucky; and her granddaughters, Miranda Atkins and Katie Cook.
