She is survived by: her son Jason Lee Bess; her siblings, Debra Foster Jackson, James Foster and Larry Foster; her aunt Mae Laird (Henry); her uncle John Johnson (Margaret); and her grandchildren, Brooke Smith-Bess of Monique Smith, Joy Smith-Bess and Ronnie Robinson. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of relatives.
