He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemand Rudolph Houk and Dorthy Pierce Houk; and his brother James Robert Houk. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Christie Houk of Mt. Gilead Community; his sons, Gary Houk of Bardstown, Greg Houk (Joaquin Chagra) of Auburn and Russ Vaughn (Datha) of James; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Lemand Houk of Bardstown, "Zoe" Vaughn (Luke) of Owensboro, Makayla Vaughn of South Carolina and Dakota Blosser of Greensburg.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the National Kidney Foundation which can be made at the funeral home.
