He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Avery and Maude Meredith Avery; his son Stephan Avery; his grandchild Dakota Avery; his daughter-in-law Shemiah Avery; his siblings, Roy Avery, William F. Avery and Poly Rosser; and his brother-in-law Mike Jewell.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Renae Meredith Avery of Greensburg; his sons, Tim Avery of Munfordville and Patrick (Pam Avery); his grandchildren, Ryan Avery, Makayla Meredith, Rylee Knackstedt, Allye Matney and Erick Sparks; his great grandchild Hudson Meredith; and his siblings, Walter (Sue Avery), James (Beverly Avery), Luther (Joe Avery), Lawrence (Teresa Avery), Bruce (Brenda Avery) and Flossie Jewell of Canmer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home.
