He was predeceased by: his parents, Benton Thomas Greer and Queenie Ethel Long Greer; his children, Ricky Thomas Greer and Mary Wilson; and his siblings, Michael, James Greer, Ethel Greer Hill and Laura Greer Hutchinson.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby York Greer of Liletown Road; his son Kenny; his daughter-in-law Cindy Evans; and his siblings, Ricky Greer of Tompkinsville, Danny Greer of Hart County, Shirley Chandler of Tompkinsville and Mary Greer Sluder of Indianapolis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
