He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bradley Thompson and Cleo Thornton Thompson; and his siblings, Deroy Thompson, JB Thompson and Darlene Higgins.
He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, Joseph Nuckols, James Griffin and Rev. Thomas Vaughn; his wife Margaret Vaughn Thompson of Summersville; his children, Samanthia Embry (Michael) of Mt. Sherman and Tyler "T. J."; his grandchildren, Jordan and Breanna Embry; his sisters, Virginia Griffin of Greensburg, KY, Evelyn Nuckols of Horse Cave, KY and Jacqueline Thompson of Keene, KY; and his brother-in-law Bill Higgins of Keene, KY.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
